yeah but stack the cossie or some other fooker stacks it and ya paying a loan on a car that ya dont actually have, which ya gonna sell for a loss and buy a house and then will have to pay 200 quid a month on a car and 700 quid on a morgage

just go back to the basics mate, buy a xr3i, then a erst and then a saph and then a cossie again, all the money on isurance ya save too remember, just means waiting 4 years

ya got the most important thing, a home, just hold house partys instead of driving places

............. like having a cossie!

looks like i'm going to have to do the loan bit soon to buy a cossie. i could wait and save up but being impatient to have things is who i am!!

anyway loans are all relative to what you earn! hopefully 10k to me will be a drop in the ocean when i get this new job sorted!!

iain i was thinking of if ya buy it on a loan and blow the engine ya got a car on ya drive that ya cant repair due to the loan

besides i hate the loan people as they are just there to exploit ya, nasty people who can make the unfortunate people unhappy

took me ages to get out of debt due to the friendly loan people, kept gettign loans for buying cars or holidays but was just pissing it up the wall, got too much that i couldbnt really afford to pay it all back, bastards they are so dont entertain em unless theres a real need for it, a cossie aint a need for me tbh

Not something I would do. When it blows up you will be left with a big debt and nothing to show for it

yeah i do agree with that, thing is loans are summit cheap like 6% not like
the 25% you used to have to pay remember being deperate to get
a car years ago and need 3k towards it, got refused for the loan so went
to a credit company @ 30% was young then and wanted
the car

It does piss me off when you see people like carol vordermann
advertising loans as `one gentle payment` knowing fine well old the old
dears love her and think it must be good if she says so.

actually didnt pete buy a house not long back? if so then no i wouldnt
bother, but if you are living with ya mam and dad still and havent got kids
then yeah id go for it.

I agree, I wouldn't want the worry of having a loan hanging round my neck - hence why I drive an old XR4x4 and not an Escort Cossie.

I heard someone saw once that you shouldn't buy a cossie unless you can afford to buy it twice over, just in case. Sounds like good sense to me. Just save up, it will be worth it when you can finally afford to buy it outright plus it will save you money as you will be getting interest from your bank (albeit a small amount) instead of paying interest to some loan company/bank.

quote from a guy who either is selling his cossie or dont use his everyday

all cossie engines die, its just a matter of how long into ownership

there old cars that get ragged from the moment there bought untill they get sold to another owner who does the same thing OR ya are running the new engine in

Better to take a loan out for a car that will still be worth at least what you paid for it in a few years than to pay 6k for a normal car and its worth at best half by the time you have paid off the loan!

mate i used my cossie every day for work, when i got fed up of the 40 quid a week fuel bill i decided to use me cabrio again and never used me cossie for a month, when i started it and drove it the fooker developed a intermittant fault with it hence why i took it apart

ya wont understand untill ya have felt the pain and cried on the side of the road like all the other cossie owners

thats after ya open the bonnet and wiggle the ignition leads hoping that we repair the melted pistons somehow

ill never forget the day i took the piss out of a guy who done his dif turned off the ignition and then after 10 mins started the car again, hoping that cooling the engine down will repair the diff

THAT NIGHT i was racing a prelude on the M25 when i heard a almighty BANG, i pulled over and turned off the engine, waited a few moments then opened the bonnet and wiggled the leads the started the car again,,,,,,,,,, never fixed my car either

lucky for me it was just the boost hose had exploded, but i done the cossie owners repair method like everyone else

when the engine blew in mine i didnt bother wiggling any leads, new that it was
well and truly bolloxed straight away,

it was on a b road, totally pitch black so i just reclined the seat,
lit up a fag and sat saying `bastards` for 10 minutes

IF you go through with this, make sure you have something to cover the difference in HP outstanding, and the actual value the insurance would pay out if someone hits you, and writes it off.

Personally I would advise against (been there done that 9 years ago), but if you do go ahead, take the above step.

Never had a loan for anything!
I dont believe in paying the bank extortionate apr rates!
The way i've always been - if i aint got the money for something i'll save up until i have!

Good luck with whatever you decide to do & i'd get the 3 door cos

has anyone noticed that the people who dont belive in em tend to have a cossie ect adn the people who do get loans dont seem to have the big money car or if they do aint finacialy comfortable

thats why i dont do loans, its cause you will never have much cash and so when ya want something ya will get on that slope with the greesy shoes to buy what ua belive ya want

AJ, does that mean ya house is all payed for , if so fooking top man

also notice the ones who dont agree with it have all been there and got the loans and regret it now

seriously pete, ya a very smart man and also i know ya got a decent job, you can make up ya mind like ya did when ya bought ya house

take up gardening as its now free and its your house and will be cheeper than the trips to B&Q for crap to decorate with
