Default Just had a accident in my car.....

well sort of

Been rushing round all morning sorting stuff out, comes home for 2minutes & thinks im going back out i'll leave the car outside the house not up the path. Seconds later mate phones me up, so im talking away and looked outside the window.......

Oh shit were's the car gone

Rushed outside and there it was down the road resting neatly on the neighbours lawns against the tree

Goes to check to see with rushing had i put the handbrake on & it was but not by much. Thankfully there is no damage just a few scapes that will hopefully T Cut out.

How lucky was i wasnt really bothered the fact the car might have gone it was more the fact id put a full tank of juice in for tomorrow

At least not much damage.

Just been reading PF, have you got your gearbox sorted ?

How much boost do you use ?

Steve.

Yeah gearbox got done last friday mate, took it for a nice test drive to Tamworth and ran faultless.

The car is boosting to 28psi and holds 24psi. Just need Karl to set it up again as its still mapped on the old engine, but aint going to disturb him at the minute after him having a new baby. As long as its set for the RING im happy.

Ive just had a closer inspection on the bumper and all its done is snapped the bracket off. Best get it sorted or some sort of sticker on it for tomorrow

A sticker will be fine LOL

Glad your box is sorted

Was the box slowing your times for the grudge match ?

My old stage 1 cortina just beats your 0-60 & 1/4 times but yours went faster top end.

Nothing to do with the box mate, id never done a 0-60 or 1/4 mile before, i just lit the tyres up and went for a high speed run.

1st run i had it at 160 but could not judge the braking point 2nd run i had it righ off the clock but i think my clocks are a bit tired now as it wasn't even a close reading to what the time was. Never mind it was only a laugh and a top day

You had fun thats all that counts

Nice to know what your car can do.

Have a go at the pod, its a good laugh. Its nice to beat people but its about beating yourself.

Common problem isn't it on Sierras?? Hot brakes relaxing and letting the hand brake off??

I remember it happened to Phils off here when he got back from the bodyshop!!

To activate the sierra handbrake properly you should press the foot brake while pulling up the handbrake, most mishaps occur due to ppl not engaging it properly

went one better when i had my elise.

opened the door one day and lent in and started it, forgetting that i had left it in gear.

the bloddy thing being so light it fecking started and drove itself straight into the neighbours house about ten fet away!

the outcome of the situation was big brick house 1, litte fibreglass sports car 0

will never start a car in gear again after that!
