Are the new shafts uprated, or same items ?

Was the failure down to pure fatigue ?

Looking forward to seeing the car in action again

The shafts cannot be uprated without a lot of development work & a change of hubs, development has now stopped on the car so its replace parts from now on in.
The shafts will be the same but x-rayed etc. After inspection shafts had been weakening over a long period of time, 12 months & 5K miles are their life im afraid taking close to 700ft-lb engine Torque on the gas.

Excellent, spoke to Mark after I posted since I had to pick up some plugs for my taxi, he told me then it was fatigue

Oh well, that should be another 5K of reliability in the bag then
