Got a foam ram air filter i reckon it could do with a clean what the best way to clean it and what with??

 

first give it a quick handwash throw on all the detergents you can then chuck it in the washing machine will come out like new

 

The misses would loved that useing the washing machine saying that i never ever used it but i will have a go

 

dishwasher

 

got a dishwasher but have never used that either

I used that to clean me car a few times i give that ago

looks like a bucket of soapy water is going to used

 

fuck it just give it to the mrs to clean

 

put it in the washing pile

 

With a foam filter, you REALLY want to be checking if it needs oiling after cleaning, as this is usually the MAIN source of dust particle filtration......

 

what about cloth filters like K&N's, how do you clean them???

 

With the K&N cleaner fluid & re-oil kit. Again, you can probably clean it a multitude of ways (other than K&N's own kit), although K&N do actually recommend not cleaning too often, unless used in extremely dusty conditions. Very important to also re-oil the K&N filters.
