pinks at about 5k anyone knows what that means. overfuelling or running too much boost? its not the octane as im using super unleaded

 

running lean,prob runnin to much boost and only a matter of time before its fatal

 

could be the ignition timing slightly out, or as said maybe a bit lean top end

 

sounds like a bit of detonation to me!!! not good

 

Get it in to a tuner and setup asap or it could end in very expensive tears.

Mind you, you too could have a paperweight like mine

turned down now to 12psi and seems fine. To be honest i was doing 120 when it started pinking maybe it overboosted or something but seems okay now. But still probably get it checked out thanks people

it was definately detting dude!!!! you really should get it set up properly by a tuner or it WILL go bang

 

i agree get it looked at, last summer i was holding my RS flat out home from chelmsford (roughly 90 miles) and wen i got back all i could hear was a loud banging noise, melted a piston and piston ring.

wouldnt have minded but id only had it rebuilt about 2500 miles before hand

if it does need a rebuild do the ZVH conversion, it fuckin rocks

 

So your using optimax then yeah?

 

waiting for the tank to go on near empty then i will fill it with optimax at 95p a litre
