Got sme parts last night of a lad near newcastle
,who was busting his because he couldnt afford to rebuild his engine
.Real shame as it was not a bad car,.
If i had of bust mine i could have used that, and the money i have now spent on another one .Though it is so difficult to get an honest car ,i thought i would take this route.

its done in a machine shop aye.
all they do is put your flywheel onto a big magnetic table that moves left to right and has a fixed grinding wheel above it.
they raise the table untill the grinding wheel touches the flywheel and then start the movement forwards and backwards.
while its doing this, the table also moves fore or aft to grind the whole surface leaving it mirror finish and super flat.
costs about 20 to 30 quid more and can be done in any good machine shop, and the best thing about grinding is it removes LESS material than skimming - skimming can remove about .5mm, whereas grinding will only be about .2mm

I noticed that the picture of the flywheel had 2 sheared dowels, were these replaced before it went back together? i ask because i had a problem when i left 1 dowel sheared and put it all back together eventually it started vibrating at a certain rpm and when i took it all apart the flywheel and cover plate was burnt at the point where the dowel was missing
so rear is all in and the front about done ,new fuel and brake lines ,.
engine and box to be put back in and running for the weekend.

have you done out with the motor while its out
Just changed the turbo for a T34,and sorted a straight through side exhaust. Also got a decent breather done.
Should just be a better stage 3.
Could have done cams i suppose, but didnt want to mess around with something that has been good for the last 2 years
been done a while ,got it done night befor nat day

hope you like it ,stripes to come on the sides and it is coming back up to standard ride height on uprated springs, and a new zorst as i have lost the art of conversation
