Anyone who knows the area............... driving between Apex Corner and Sterling Corner on the A1 (three lane carraigeway).

In the fast lane, doing x mph, and I hear a bang, like I've run over a road sign (metal cruch noise). Glance in the rear view mirror, and nothing, so look up, and see a load of debris mid air!

Next thing I see is a modded Lexus with it's two front wheels OVER the central reservation sliding over the crash barrier I swerve to avoid the car and the bits flying off it, pull over, and phone the police.

What a mess! Nice modded Lexus, with nice chrome rims is currently hanging over the central reservation - not something you see everyday. Can't have missed the car by much either - looked like something out of a film!

There's a nice little bump in the road about there, and with it being RWD, it would appear that it lifted over the small crest, lost control, and just mounted the reservation. Can't have been going slow either!

Really nice coppers on the scene really quickly. Just chatting and I asked whether they thought it was a blow out or something similar, to which he replied that it was "probably just a case of bad driving!" Hard not to smile at that, considering no-one was injured........

I got to drive an AE86 Corolla upto Elvington on Sat afternoon and its so low with no suspension movement it literally takes off on bumps on the Motorway, so might happen again tomorrow

Its worth it tho, the thing is sooo much fun on roundabouts or any open bit of tarmac

When I was young(er) me my Mum + sister where behind a big 4x4 Nissan Patrol thing which was behind a family saloon which was hit head on by a foreign driver on the wrong side of the road. All I saw was the 4x4 spin right infront of us, some debris hit our MG Metro Turbo ( ), smashed the screen and punctured a tyre. When we came to a stop we got out, turned round and saw a poor young lad get out of the car screaming as his Dad was in the front seat dead, PROPER horrible, will never forget that.

saw summat similar the other morning, m25 exit at watford, car looked like it hadnt stopped till the last minute and then mounted the crash barrier, ended up backwards over it with rear wheels up in the air.. make soyu wonder how they do it

Few months back I saw a unit and trailer PUSHING a new skoda sideways in the middle lane of the M25, happened right next to me going the other way, such a surreal moment, I saw it coming towards me, I was prob doing 80 fearing the lorry was out of control initially and honestly believed it was about to cross onto my side of motor way, then it all made sense as it went past, unbelieveable and CREDIT to all the cars behind it, who when I looked in my rear mirror all managed to come to a slow safely, all I could see was tyre smoke across the whole carriageway, as it went past me the lorry was locked up and there was obv smoke coming from the car tyres, the car had been lifted up nearly just on its two o/s wheels. Obviously it wasnt worth me stopping but I did immediately dial 999........
