Ok i know i need too take the d/v off and blank it off' but what do you do with the little vacuum pipe thingy that comes off the top of the d/v ?

Is that the one that goes into the inlet manifold? If yes, you need to blank it off too.

stick a small screw or bolt in it and wrap a tie wrap around it!
