Default advice/experince bout high bhp rst

Hi mates... got a question bout a 5 th injecter set up....

I have a S2 wit a 1900cc, uprated head, a cv37 and T3 trim 60, and I would like get just above the 250bhp mark..., I running low boost at the moment... but, I would like to end up driving wit about 1,5bar... (dont know how many psi that is)

I talked with a danish tuner... and he adviced me to ditch the 5.th injecter, and have my std inlet manifold modified to fit 4 extra injecter.. and have them controlled by my Mf2..

his reason for doing this, was that he said, wit a 5 th injecter that sits before your throttle body, you cant control if every cylinder gets the same amount of fuel

what do you think of this idea...??

Know of several big Bhp rst's running the Erl/Mf2 5th injector setup.

As far as im aware as long as you have the correct injector/mapping then its fine

Umm not sure,i was having a think.Alot of people use the 5th injector so it's tried and tested without any problems and gets good results. As for fitting another 4 injectors,i highly doubt the standard ERST fueling could cope with that,id imagine its alot of money to get done right while a 5th injector setup will prob only cost £250-£300

thats was also my thought.. many use the 5th injecter without problems...

the std ERST produces about 5-6 bar of fuel pressure... so the danish tuner I talked to, meant that there would be no problems wit fittin 4 exstra injecters... the plan was, so split the fuel line up in 2, just before the fuel distributer, and run the second fuel line up to at fuel brigde (or whats its called), and the feed the 4 injecter from there..

This is still just something im running thrugh my head.. thats why I wanted some feedback from the board

I used the standard 4 injectors with a modified metering unit to run 24psi held and 220bhp @ Wheels. Fueling was spot on, although it was very juicy when cruising along the motorway but no problem with a lack of fuel at the top end.

Wouldn't it be much less hassle to just use an EFI inlet manifold.

Exactly. And no I don't mean a Ford EEC-IV efi! I'm not really a big fan of OE management conversions.

Mine ran MFi and NO 5th Injector at 250bhp. Infact I have never run a 5th Injector on my car. I went straight from a Standard Configuration 4 Injector MFi Setup to EFi.

In answer to your question, I would keep with the 5th Injector as it is. It is quite crude, but at least it allows for sensible off-boost and low boost fuelling with increased enrichment higher up.

id go for the efi set up as its easily mappable and more drivable than fart arsing around with the standard management
