what oil to use when running in?
If you have changed your piston rings, use ONLY mineral oil for the first 1500 miles of street running. 10w-40 is a good choice. Change your oil and filter after 20 miles, there will be much debris. Do hard runs for the first hour of running the engine, just warm it up first. If you have not touched your bores of rings, mineral oil or hard runs are not needed.
i think we all have different ways off running in , just use mineral oil and common sense for the first 1k
i would not put the engine under hard load for the 1st hour of running in, never heard of that one
