Quickie.... 2wd saffcos
On my alternator theres a blue wire/connector that goes onto a thread/bolt type thingy lol, basically it kept falling off
the other night my car would not start so basically i tightened this connector on this wire so it would not fall off
and got a jump start and cars been fine since(well 1 day now) and counting , soo do yous think this wire would have had anything to do with my problem ? what is it for troops

I thought that was the warning light wire.
Cant think why it would stop the car from starting. Maybe you disturbed something else while you were in there.
Or maybe I'm wrong (again)

makes perfect sense. the blue wire is for the energiser circuit that runs through the warning light in the dash. the blue wire basically tells the alternator to charge the battery, so without it your battery will run flat.
yup, as above
did you also notice that the battery light wasn't coming on when the battery was flat?
at least you've stubmled onto the problem and it looks like you've fixed it now
