just got back from dublin...

at stanstead airport we had a woman shouting "everyone from dublin, this way..." she attempted to check boarding passes, but wasnt even looking at them,. and the lane she ferried us thru went straight into the main terminal!!! no security (desks were empty) no customs, no imigration no nothing!!

i coulda been a fookin al Queda Imigrant Arab and she woulda let me thru (ps it was a busy airport with loadsa flights arriving and sum1 coulda got off another plane n got into our Q EASY)

makes me v. angry

 

pathetic ain't it, just went to america and we queued for over an hour before having our prints and photos taken, and i have a visa !

 

Fook me do u guys get about very often? Its because it part of the EU! If you come from outside of the EU you have to be checked etc. Say ur from Japan and go to Germany, you have your checks there then its fine to most other parts of the EU!

Havent you noticed it before when you been to other EU countries?

 

When i flew back from Florida, i walked through Heathrow without showing my passport once

When i went into Florida, i queued for well over 2 hours, pics taken, prints taken etc etc

 

Maybe cos you got a British passport?

i coulda been from ANYWHERE as i wasnt checked... at stanstead you ll get off a tram type thing that takes you from the gates to the terminal and then bundle into the arrivals section... the people who get off the tram are from loadsa different flights...

 

It was just like that coming back from Amsterdam. No security at all.

I've now found out I'm not aloud back in America!

 

Why?

Jim what the terminal was full of people from other flights plus international ones etc. and they just called you lot out? Seems odd!

I'm currently working airside at cardiff airport, and the security there is insane, even t get in as staff.

Metal detector, bag xrayed, whats in the bag?, open it for us, lets have a look etc. Lets see the soles of your shoes. Scan the airside pass on their scaner thing to check its valid......insane!

 

yeah, I've walked through Stansted with no security. Coming back from the Dam too.

 

Airport security in general is fooking disgracful in this country , Considering the events of the last year you would think they'd be extra vigilant .

No wonder the country is getting over run by illegal immigrants if things carry on the way they are at the mo then i will be too big a problem to do sod all about .
The goverment need to pull their fookin fingers out and actually do something to solve the problem instead of making it so easy , Like Jim said he could of been a terrorist and sounds like he had plenty of opportunity to do something if he was one.
