Hi all
whats to most miles your cosworth given you?
wonder whats the highest milage cosworth?? How long should they last?

And is it worth spending all that extra dosh to run it on synthetic every oil change rather than normal oil...

when i bought my 3dr it had 78K on the clock and the engin ehad been rebuilt 330 miles ago so still had to run it in.

Take some beating i reckon.........even though it is standard and always has been....

I have got bills for the head being recontictioned and thats it, theres not even a bill saying it had a turbo, but i find that very hard to belive!

Might be the original internals as the block was changed last year but I doubt it as they were in good condition when the engine was pulled apart and at that milage they would have been shagged.

my stage 1 saph was on 140k (40 of those mine) always run on castrol rs 10w60. now after someone smashed into it i'm using it for my next project which is being delivered on monday morning (well the shell that it)

Big Niges old Saff had done 179k when it was stripped to be rebuilt as a precautionary measure

melted a piston at 101k but was smoking a bit and upon inspection it wouldnt have lasted much longer anyway, but my mates is up to 160k with just the odd headgasket to his knowlage

Bought mine at 105000 and didn't even get 1000 miles out of it before it was stripped due to a melted piston
