Default Cleaning a Throttlebody... best methods?

in the past ive always just used lots of carb cleaner and some rag n stuff... but i was thinkin about maybe leaving it to soak in something overnight? maybe petrol?

whats everyone else do to clean parts like this?

Carb cleaner mate, you could have done it in the time it took you to ask this daft fookin question

please take the sensor's off first.

yeah petrol is good.

also white spirit is very good.

ryan, no sensors on there... it's shit-jetronic

stu, ive run out of carb cleaner

also i was wondering if loaving it soaking overnight might clean it better? also it might get all the dift off the outside aswell

Wrong... some engines are coated and must NEVER be cleaned internally

Give it a clean with carb cleaner then stick it in the dish washer.

Make sure you give it a real good rinse off afterwards or the salt will attack it.

well, zetec ones have a sticker saying not to clean inside cos they are coated
