Just so you know, as from today ive made the Cars for sale forum a Gold member / Trader's only forum.

This is due to me repeatedly having to ask various traders who dont use PF in any way other than to try and offload goods not to take the piss with their free adverts in there and being ignored/abused/etc etc..

So there you have it.

 

Reckon you should do the same for the wanted section Stu as there is 1 particular trader who is not a gold member free loading in there regulaly

 

So users who aren't car traders can't sell there car in there with out paying the donation.. ?

I thought it was SUPPOSED to be only for gold members in the first place. I thought that was what was agreed when the gold membership first came up. Only noticed recently that it was available to all.

Atleast you know if you want to buy a car off Stu has their details. If something bad happens like turns out to be stolen or something...

At the end of the day, hopefully, advertising will one day foot the running costs of PF for you all and im not prepared to let tightarse bedroom traders use PF for their own end for nom outlay when other genuine traders like Pete, Mike R, Scc and all our other highly valued traders foot the cost AND give invaluable advice and input.

Try looking at the bigger picture for a change guys.. instead of moaning you cant sell your car for free on a busy forum thats costing someone else thousands to just exist...

I'm no fan of bedroom traders not paying when 'proper companies' are, but as a non bedroom trader but someone who VERY ocasionally sells a car, I think that people like me willflood the General areas. That's all.

 

Havent been able to for almost a year now mate... so its obviously never bothered anyone has it?

At the end of the day, 40million hits per month takes its toll and this place costs SERIOUS cash to run. A large proportion of which is paid for by our loyal traders, so im not going to allow people to trade for free under their noses.

When all's said and done, if the money stops coming in, PF will close forever. End of story really as Petrucci and myself will no longer be subsidising it. thats life im afraid.

I assume if it does close the traders will get the remaining subscriptions paid back?As it is not a donation like the Gold Members.

Incidently and this is not a dig.......maybe the most important thing is to get the site reliable first.......and if the reason you cant is due to lack of donations..i think you should pull the plug now before you waste anymore of your money (i put waste as you are clearly fed up subsidizing the site even though you get trade from it,obviously for Pet its a hobby who should only pay if he wants too.)

I repeat just my opinion and not a direct dig at Stu...as he will tell you all we get on quite well off the internet..and are thinking about anal..ROFL
