Myself and series1ajc thought it would be a good idea to hold a North West RS Day in the Preston area as there seems to be a lot of very nice S1's and S2's and cossies in the north west. Everyone welcome if ya fancy a bit of a travel. Sunday 24th July. Phantom Winger, where the RSOC used to meet, 1pm, then down to the Docklands. Just a chat, a look around, advice, photos etc. Testing the water really to see who will come. Interested ?

sounds good place, is 3-4 mins of motorway and easy as to find so should be easy
enough for people

so 10 days should hopefully all be meeting up there, if any one needs directions

focus diy is bigger but furthur from motorway, will be quieter too as it is getting renovated

Thats wot i thought but my partner in crime came up with it and he knows Preston better than me. . . based on the fact that i don't know Preston at all ! I'm sure it will be ok.

 

Agreed, i will be there as long as its a pub meet that does food and drink.
Sadly, i dont do looking at cars in carparks anymore, but i enjoy the socialising

 

well venue can be changed to a pub, which one is the welcome tavern daz, or walton fox, i forgotten, probably right about home base being open,

we could always meet at jct 31A pub, Anderton Arms or the Travel Inn

Walton Fox is on the M65 motorway junction in Lostock Hall opposite Sainsburys, next to the new Holiday Inn Express thing and Bugery King! 200 plus meet is held there but it would appear to be having some modification to the building at the moment although the pub itself is open.

Welcome Tavern has a bigger carpark but I dunno if there is food on at the moment cos even though it's my local, I haven't been in for ages!! If you come off the M65 to the roundabout and go straight on, go straight on at the next. roundabout and turn left at the next. Top of the hill turn left then first left and first left. That is the Welcome Tavern
