Think a stripped out, caged mk1 escort with over 500 bhp would do me nicely. That silver norweign mk1 would be the ultimate for me

The AC Cobra 427. 7 litre V8, Holley Twin barrel Carb. 0-60 in 3.7 seconds (in 1967) Held the Guiness Book of records fastest accelerating production car for 21 years until it was beaten by the Porsche 959 in 1988. The first car to feautre computer designed suspension (don't let it fool you for a minute, it's LETHAL on the bendy bits)

I seriously want one.

God, I can't narrow it down to just the one

Could be either of these two beauties:

Absolutely LOVE the F40!

This IMO is really something special, if I ever owned an Esc Cos half as good I would be totally proud

But I think this is about the pinical, has got to be in those colours aswell! Who can argue with a 427cu Supercharged Engine

How can anyone's DREAM car be a Ford Sierra for fuck's sake

For me it'd have to be an F40 or a 360CS

Tough to call that one...

For pure racingthrills the F40 (onlky Fiat I'd have )

For oldschool rallying thrills MKII Escort

For day to day purposes:

Porsche 911 Turbo

Quick, easy to live with, reliable, practical.

You have got a point there actually about an old Sierra being a 'dream' car

See the F40 I posted above, quite simply the Bollox Saw a pic of the new Ferrari (think it replaced the 360, F438 or something is it? ) with a Hamann kit last nite!

Always has and always will be the Large Turbo Escort Cosworth, full leather and air con in Imperial Blue

Strange as much as i love Aston Martins etc ive always been a bit of a realist and knew (short of winning the lottery) i would never be able to own one - thats why the Escort is more appealing since its an achievable goal

But if it's an acievable goal, and to be honest, anyone with a loan could buy an Escort Cossie, then it's not much of a dream, as you could probably buy one tomorrow!

Thats my point exactly - I would never be able to save up enough money to buy an aston martin outright, but a cosworth yes - in which case i'd be immensly proud of my achievement.

In terms of "dream cars" thats just my view of what one is to me, i find it pointless "dreaming" about Astons etc if i will never get to own one, why waste time when i can be working towards buying a cossie

You have very limited visions then mate, whats wrong with saving up some money towards an Aston or something then getting finance on it?

Jeses, dont know about you but i'm here for a good time not a long time!

May sound silly, but my dream car ever since driving was an Escort Cossie, now onwning it still feels like my dream car, even tho somethings wrong with it every damn week. But i choose to overlook all that and think purly about the history of the cossie.

But my next dream car would have to be a Ferrari, and its on the top of my list to own before my liscence gets taken away from me when im too old to drive.

I also want a Noble m12 after my Cossie.

Mclaren F1 LM, Koenigsegg CCR (as in the 800bhp version), a Gemballa Porsche Cayenne (for shopping) and Martoons Escort (when finished) for track days. I think that would "do" .

Stating you want a car specifically for shopping is not going to aid your 'straight' claims Mike.

And as some of you have said re yourselves, an Escos was my dream car too (even though I had one) as I'm not really a fan of super cars (thus I've stuck with Fords lol) but when I saw that GT40 on Top Gear last year.. GODDAAAMMMNNNNN!
