I cannot attend this one due to location and other commitments, but hope it all goes well. I suggest as it is your first one you offer traders a free ticket, on the basis they donate a raffle prize, or if they make a fortune on the day, bung you some money then.

i think traders are getting fed up with being taken for a ride, and i mean real traders who pay vat ,tax etc (not the fuckin fly by nights who dont declare nothin to mr taxman...pps your time will come) , we are all out there to make a few bucks and dont mind paying good money for shows that give good returns, we get charged a fortune by a&s publishing that run ford fair but usually the show is ok, some shows are really poor and we lose money JUST by being there, typical example is a show this sunday at thoresby, the guy wanted Ł60 ? last year we did it and lost Ł120 on the day, they should be offering traders free space just to be there at such a small show. lets get this message into static show organisers heads

THE MORE TRADERS YOU HAVE, THE BETTER THE SHOW IS (it seems) !!!!
look after your bread and butter

Erm? so would you like to come?

I understand that as this is a new show, people are going to be wary, hence the fact we are offering Free spaces (This Year)... I've already stated that I cant promise a massive turnout. But as I also stated we are very keen to make this show work, both myself and the event owners, so the people that support us from the offset WILL be rememberd when we become bigger!!

Dont think we will? look at TRAX... It started life as the XROC National Day!! Think about it!!

Martyn ( nomad ) is correct , people forget it costs traders money to just turn up
and you will be amazed how much we need to take just to brake even ,
Its not all cash in our pockets , Tony bloody blair wants his cut out of us

this doesnt sound promising to those of us thinking of
going to a few shows in the future to check out if its worth
the hastle & cost of showing up, but you are right, it has to start
somewhere !
me & my wife make graphics & signs but the turn over to breakeven
on some shows would have to be hooge, perhaps i should bolt a burger van
on me mobile workshop

Get your history Books out matey...TACS Tenth Aniversary Car Show, the XROC's tenth Aniversary held at Siverstone, obviously couldn't be called that the following year so it was changed to TRAX, I was a memebr of said club for 12 years and Ran the Northern Branch for 3 of those!!

If your gonna try and be clever at least do your homework!!

As I said before, anyone who want's to help us out will be VERY welcome, I have made NO promises that this year will be Massive, I understand that you have to make Money, but for a show to work, it needs traders, and as I said before Trax WAN'T Massive to start with, but look at it now, we are trying to be different, by having it over 2 Days, and having "PROPER" Drag racing over both days... I still believe this is a format that can and WILL work, and as I have already said help us now, and we will remember you when it takes off!!
