ahright guys, am currently doin a miny project on my mk4 escort van.
u c the rear suspension set up on the van is very similar to any 60s -70s escort, cortina etc in that it runs an axle with leaf springs, u bolts, shocks etc... now i wanna lwer the back end and was intendin on fiping the axle, so it sits above the springs as opposed to below them the now, but ive heard u need brackets todo so as opposed to longer u bolts n blocks like the older stuff???
anyone help??? know who to speak to?? an enthusiasts/specialists? sorry for goin on guys n gals!!!!!

My old van had coilovers, S1 rollbar, Rear adjustable tie rods, rear antiroll bar + a few other bits. Was awesome to drive and was almost the same type of drive as the XR
Before fitting the above, it had upside down stuff with leda springs and bounced about REAL bad
! Always rubbed the wheels when conering (Did have cossie rims tho) When putting your foot down the back end would just scrape the floor
cossiecrew,
Coilovers will fit all round just needs a little mod/s to allow for the struts and hub support.

Chiz ...
I have a dropped Mk4 myself .. with the decambered springs. You used to be able to get two heights .. Mine seems to have dropped 5" approx, (and matches Turbo car ride height at the front) I really would'nt go lower ; )
Have a word with Chris Locke on this thread .. He might be able to help you!
