Just wanted to know if any other make of head unit is compatible with a Pioneer CD changer.

i dont think you can change between manufactures as the leads have different connectors on.

dont quote me on that but i know you cant have sony and kenwood, well, the stuff i had you couldnt

Yeah that's what i thought but a mate said a couple of them work together, I just don't know which ones.

nah, none work together mate. Some factory units will do but only on newer cards.

You could probably make you own cables up but fook knows how!

Good point Chris. I'm sure there'd be an audio shop who could do that...... might look into that.

there are some units that work together.

A few years ago now (almost like 10 yrs more like) i had a kenwood stereo and a 10disc blaupunkt cd changer - the connections were different but u could buy a lickle box from maplins to convert it and hey presto it all worked.

dont think it will work on the pioneer and most new units tho.
