Are they easy to remove and how much are they to buy??

Easy to remove mate, just dont do teh famous Disco 4x4 trick & re fit it with the battery connected

3 bolts holding starter to bellhousing BUT disconnect battery first or as Paul has said look out for the fireworks display.
