Default Track control arms - 4x4 Cosworth

I've just bought 2 new track control arms for £50 from MAD FOR IT on Ebay. They have a slightly thinner casting.

Have casting materials improved in design or could I have bought inferior parts?

Wish I had £300 to get some of Brom's bad boys!!! I've got tyre wear on the outer edge on both front tyres. Will a -25mm drop cause this assuming the tracking is spot on?

Where do you guys get your track control arms from?

i ordered some from someone else on e bay too mate. they have not arrived yet..

but i have asked in fords for some genuine ones, and they told me they cannot get them!
so sadly i think IF these motorquip/autofactors pattern ones aint much good,
then the Zoo ones might be the only option! (a good option though from what ive seen!)

Maybe so Pete, but if I welded up some TCAs, they have more holes in them than a block of Emmental cheese, and be just as strong!

the simple answer is to get someone who can weld to do them for you

I've seen some of Broms work, & seeing as a T.C.A. is a major part of what holds the front wheel on the car, i'd rather pay a bit more money & now i had a 'proper' set.

Just saw these on Ebay.

i can weld, but stuff like that is better left to people who do it every day, thats not an area of a car you want to scrimp on!!!

All ours are always done in a Jig, it is quite simple, but Pete's making it too simple.

If you ain't sure about your own ability then buy some from anywhere that is.

Dont want people thinking its easy and messing it up and something going wrong on the first roundabout eh !!

Can you return Ebay ones if your not happy ? You can from most other places - and the returned ones then get sold on Ebay I bet
