Fan motor going knackered mate.......they start to tighten up and blow fuses...just put a new one on my sapphy.....

Too much current being drawn through it if it is melting. Probably between 30 and 45/50 amps to melt a 30 amp fuse....

better get a new fan motor then ...is this the same as on other fords or is it cossy special ?

Common cossie problem mate, i put a whole new loom in mine...sorted
Cable fords use for the fans is shit out of the factory so you can imagine what it's gonna be like after 14 years!!!!!

VERY common problem mate. Just replace all the wiring for the fans and it will be fine. I have done mine

I've rewired mine all toghether, seperate fan relay and fuse now. Its a common problem and a right pain. Best to rewire it.

just cut the wire and put a inline fuse in it and it sorted mine out

I got the same thing, had a new loom so it can only be the fans I guess. Still on standard fuse at the moment, might look to upping that... hope nothing catches fire

My fusebox is melted to fook anyway, previous owner didn't bother replacing a broken fusebox cover, then steam-cleaned the engine

well only the part that's melted is where the fan fuse should be it did work a few mins ago when i pushed it against the contacts .. but will make a wire directly to the fans tomoz so i can switch it on and sort the wiring
things like these are getting me in 2 minds about it but yesterday racing that corvette well didnt
