Hi

Can anyone tell me how easy it is to replace inner and outer sills on the Saphire Cosworth. I've a few holes in mine and dont know whether to replace them or cut out the bad metal and get a replacment patch welded in flush and the weld ground down to make a good job of it.

At the back in front of the axel?

 

the inspection report that has been done on the car says

under side left outrigger excessive corrosion inner sill

chasis member underside right corroded

floor section corrosion on the front undeside floor pan and underside right floor pan.

the inspector also mentioned that the outer sills may be corroded due to the age of the car but he couldnt see due to the skirts.

not sure if this helps or not !

that's fairly vague.

If you're going to chop out large sections like this brace the car front to rear and side to side.

Can you get good pictures of the areas (not necesserily the corrosion)?
