Just for anyone who's into photography...
Here are a few of the pictures I've taken lately.
They are huge pictures normally but photobucket resized them =)

I wanted pictures of both the empty waves and the areas where it was packed with surfers. I had to zoom right in so the pictures weren't as clear there as they could have been, but I daren't stand in the water with my big bitch of a camera. I don't think salt water would agree with it too much =)
I took dozens but to be honest I think I'd bore you all with too many =)

Depends to be honest Snowy...for those I wanted 1 or 2 people in the frame.
I wanted to show how the place was, how it is in real life, rather than how I could manipulate it to look....
I had the one surfer and woman in the top pic as I wanted to show there were people there, but that it wasn't overcrowded.
Just a subtle aspect of what people use the area for
I can see what you're saying though, often I exclude people....but sometimes people are what brings a picture alive....especially when they are in the background...and not interfering with the shot. As if they are integrated....not the focul point
Thank you for the comments anyway guys =)
They don't give their full effect so small, thats about 25% of their full size...I like them filling the whole screen as you can 'get into' the image more.

Cool pics and nice ones at that
I love the sea pics as well as sunrise/sets as they kind of keep me calm and pacified (if that makes sense?) and I can relate to them quite well
..maybe ina previous life I was a fish of some sort
I came across my ex's pics on P/b which she claimed she took of lighting and a few others of track days ..I dread to think she was that close to me
when they were took
Then I realised she'd, right clicked and saved the pics from here, on PF

I prefer sinister empty shots, like derelict buildings. I love cranes, always black and white with cranes, makes them more sinister than they are.
I do a lot of perspective photography, not really wide open shots, got to be good to master horizon and landscape shots, and that i aint
Do you do photography as a hobby, or for work/college? I been thinking about taking a course and getting used to film again.

Maybe, we should do what some of the guys/lass's do on Scoobynet, where you get to take different pics on different themes at different moments, but not the right click and save jobs
Would well be worth it IMO

No Snowy. I include it in my Art I suppose but to be honest it's purely a hobby.
I can only really take pictures of my other work for art, its relatively limited as to what I can include. I can't use photographs as 'pieces'....just to add in my journal as background investigations etc.
I've always loved photographs. My mum bought a Canon SLR camera when I was younger and she did a lot, taught me to use it when I was about 8. Just fell in love with lenses, I suppose.

Katie, i'm looking for an old cannon SLR, were absolutely brilliant cameras, used to do all my work in black and white with them at school because it gave such crisp shots.
Katie, are you familiar with http://www.abandoned-britain.com/photos.htm & http://www.phirebrush.com/issues/iss...on=photography

and Im checking that site out Snowy, I've seen pictures in the style of that first site before, I can't think who by but its a local artist to me....he takes the pictures and recreates like 6ft x 4ft monotone black ink on canvas reproductions which look absolutely gorgeous.

Just uploaded a couple more from Brecon

and two from another area of coastline near me, unfortunately it was a fairly misty day
This pic is gorgeous full size as you can see all the individual blocks in the cliff

again these have lost clarity on photobucket, lol

Blimey - this takes me back! I did GCSE photography in 1989, and Ive barely touched a camera since
I did do my mates wedding last year, but that was the last time.
There's a Pentax P50 SLR in the wardrobe somewhere, I think I might dust it off!
