hey all, along time ago i had to scrap my beloved rs1800 but i kept the engine, running gear, ecu and superchip etc..... as i always wanted to get another mk3 or mk2 fez and just slap in that engine......... anyway i'll cut to the chase i just got an r reg escort gti and was wondering what i could take off the rs1800 and put on the gti

am i wrong and guessing that the superchip will just plug in
or will it need a set up or is the chip useless

also ive got a fse power boost valve,,, will this work

i dont think anything will just plug in no.
you can fit the cams but the throttle body wot fit directly so you need a 2.0l mondeo throttle body.
im sure the ecu wont work, if it was out of a very late m/n reg rs1800 it might work but i wouldnt be sure on it.
best to change the loom over with the ecu.
but the easiest option would be to fit a mk6 130bhp ecu out of some convertables

 

If you after cheap power next week i should have a 130ps head, cams, throttle body, maf and ecu for sale.

throttle body injectors cams will fit all zetec engines up to 96 where the air intake goes over the engine have done this on my orion 1.8 also fitted on escort 1.6 with wicked results don't no bout ecu let u no soon tho'

 

ecu will plug straight in need air flow sensor tho think gives off diff signals original sensor gives flat spot at 3500 to 4500 rpm
