car been valeted today and for 25 quid it was well worth it,
polished all shiney stuff and chrome aswell as wheels,
its looking good

those of you that dont know, Me and S1 JOHN have gotour S1's
on show, Daz C is coming down too aswell aswell some of my mates
(saph cos, es cos an another s1)

nearly did not manage to get there though due to my fuel pump relay
packing up last night, right outside beer garden at the local,

thanks to Daz C for letting me borrow his spare

no, its the silver one above accelerator pedal, its at MUK (myerscough college)

Relays always get warm if in use mate. It's down to the coil inside them. Nothing to worry about unless it gets too hot.

 

not a bad day out had a good laugh few other rs's there i won my first trophy even if it was for 2nd place in the retro class well chuffed i didnt even know they were judging just goes to show all that work paid off i the end

was a good day, got a bit boring but started to pick up again later on, too bloody

Nice pics mate. Lovely S1's. C605 EEC was registered in Kendal, or nearby area. ( My home town). Not seen an EC S1 for donkey's years ! Probably only one left !

 

do you know the car or just where it was registered because according to that thing someone posted up about where your car is from it was preston first registration i bought it from stoke last year and minted it well chuffed to have won that trophy

 

I was lurking on the cruisewigan stand as the car was still stickered up with it, because its my navigators own website. Didn't have a clue which one was you tho ajc sorry Only Daz came over and introduced himself I think my car was a little easier to spot

I had an interesting drive home with the car sat on slicks in a heavy downpour on the M6

Mine was first registered in Blackpool and spent many years there. Then it was in New Longton, Preston and i bought it from there. Your last post is a bit unclear. Was there a thread about mine? If so, how long ago? Don't know your car but always thought the EC Reg was from South Cumbria but mainly Kendal. Looks proper nice mate.

Did'nt realise it was a show on Sun, thought it was your mag shoot. Was at a loose end and would have DEFINATELY had a ride down. Really fooked off about it to be honest ! Teach me to read stuff properly in future won't it ! There are 3 minters near me including Keirons old one ( a sale i helped to set up ) ! We would love to have a mini convoy down to Preston i'm sure and have a meet up somewhere. Should get some nice piccies of 6 minty S1's in a row !

Daz mentioned that you were after me Carl (well your better half) - spent most of the mid part of the day in the motorsport lecture hall with a few of the tutors who are rally boys themselves. They have a subaru which they are having problems with and I was helping.

 

Oi! I said he had his glasses on!

 

Was expecting a lot of nice scenery to look at as the weather was nice. (not cars)

The glasses make things closer and bigger, and they worked a treat

 

Yeah and there was no one stood there with glasses on
