Due to a falling out with my Dad I'm unsure who is the registered keeper of my Mk1 Granada as it was in my name then his name and back to mine (this is the unsure bit)
I have an old style log book dated 1999 but I've not received the new style V5. Do they not bother sending them out for cars off the road for a long period?
What's the best way of finding out the registered keeper?

You can't SORN a vehicle if you are not the registerd keeper.
So if you try and Sorn is accepted then you are the R.K,
But as said by others, that doesn't mean you are the Legal owner,
You'll have to make up.

u can write to the dvla to ask the name and address of the recorded keeper. costs about a fiver, and as long as u have a 'reasonable explanation' of why u want the name and address.
check up on either their website or the vehicle licensing booklet in the post office

Or check the RAC site and see if the last change of keeper ties up with the log book you have?

The Registered Keeper will have already recieved the new style log book from the DVLA.
If you try and apply for a new one and it isnt in your name, they will write to the registered keeper to ask if they are aware.
