cossie misfire

2 min of your time if i could i took working engine out of my old saff cossie put it in my new shell along with my old engine loom now engine works but have a miss on number one have changed plug lead cap but still misses others are fine ? is there any thing else i can look for as its fooking me off lol thanx for any help

Just a thought....have you a) had the old engine apart or was it just transfered? b) have you double checked the cam timing? Just thinking if it was rebuilt etc. it's possible the cams are out or perhaps the wrong way around?? I don't know, just throwing up some ideas.....

Just seems odd that you've tested for breakdown on plugs/leads, dizzy cap is new and all the cam/ignition timings are correct but it's weak on just one cylinder - not come across that before
Ok, here's another idea then....just in case it may be fuel ie: too much/little rather than the spark strength, try doing an injector swap and see if you can make it misfire on another cylinder. I'm assuming that you've taken the plug lead out and it makes no difference on no.1 so it should be very obvious if it fails on another cylinder.
