2wd cossie into 4x4 estate
i'm going to reshell all of my cossie running gear into my 4x4 estate shell. most of it is no problem, it's currently in a 4x4 shell anyway.
the problem is the rear axle. it's different on an estate due to it having a flat floor, so the dampers are insed the spring coils, and the springs are sitting differently on the 'chassis rails'

i have some options here:
1) see if the arms on the 2wd cossie rear axle can be modded to fix the damper to
potential problems: i think that the spring position could be slightly different
2) fit the estate arms to the cossie axle
potential problems: the estate has smaller discs than the cossie, can the discs ad calipers be bolted up to the hubs, or will i have to change hubs as well as change the arms?
3) change just the diff
potential problems: i think that a 7 1/2" diff doesn't fit in a 7" diff axle? and i'm still left with smaller brakes.
does anyone have any experience of this and can advise me please?
