Hello all,

Dunno whether any of you remember cos it was TIME ago but my car was somewhat mashup by Fast Fit in Dunstable (be afraid, be very afraid). Well after much stress with them and the use of Nige they refused to pay out for the damage to my car. There was a post but who can be arsed to dig that up without a search facility lol.

Anywho Clare's mate Gary bailed me out, took my car there under cover of darkness and got my wheels and tyres sorted. The tyres were so out of date they don't do them anymore so they had to put more expensive ones. Shame.

So I just bit the bullet and called the director asking for the money I paid out for the loom.... Again. The fooker only tried to haggle with me so I said no a lot and then upped my price til he panicked and said I'll get a cheque next week.

So, thanks to Clare for putting me in touch with Gary and driving him up and down to get my car, thanks to Gary for being the poor bastid who had to do it, thanks to Nige for being big, thanks to Dan at RapidFord for ringing Dave when he saw my cossie driving up the road with a big Gary in the drivers seat just in case, thanks to Brom for the *cough* invoice, thanks to Waps for the tow home, thanks to Billabong for the details to get hold of the Fast Fit boss in the first place and thanks to my long suffering other half DaveyBoy who has had to put up with my nigh on constant whinging (and was unfortunate to be in the passenger seat when the smoke started flooding out).. Oh and for his quick thinking, cos if it wasn't for him ripping the wires away I may well be driving some burnt metal and ash.

I will shout you all a beer when I see you at the shows.. In my cossie *

*all except for Davey of course as he has the pleasure of my company all the time and therefore needs no more reimbursement

What happened

 

Cola wanted 2 tyres changed on her escort. Fast fit turned up to do it and managed to bodge both tyres, took chunks out the sidewall of both, fucked up her rondells, and by fitting the battery incorrectly, they also managed to melt the entire loom. We were lucky to get out the car before ti went up in smoke..... naturally they denied any involvment and wouldnt accept any responsibilty... initially

She has a new loom now, 2 new tyres and wheels refurbed, and will also be receiving a cheque to reimburse her for her initial outlay for new loom took a while, but with a little help from the right people, finally got it all sorted

 

All ends well

Sounds like there are not many people off PF that didn't help you out, that's great to see

 

sounds alot of agro from one company but glad you got it sorted now

 

Certainly was a lot of agg.. steer well clear of Fast fit
