Default Engine and Brake cleaner? What should I use?

I want to get my engine and brakes as clean as the rest of the car but I don't know what's best to use?

So I thought i'd ask, rather than go out and buy a load of rubbish that's no good!

Found some aerosols on ebay but not sure whether they are worth bothering with.

if you work in the motor trade you can geta halfords trade card which allows to get stuff like that dead cheap.

tins of brake cleaner are around a quid for a 500ml aerosol.

get cheap parts and tools as well
