Whys my cossie sound like its got a bag of nails rattling around inside the engine??

Would it be simply the crap oil thats in it??

15/50 oil may help to shut it up a bit, but might be something more serious.

I think it might be just the oils just not good enough..........Fingers crossed!

Is it true all cossie suffer with piston slap from a cold start??

4x4 engines don't suffer from piston slap.

in a word NO

some 4x4 do suffer also for some reason although very few do due to having off set gudgeon pins!

no harm in changing the oil any way. although 15/50 is 30 quid a bottle. and ur gonna need 2 of them.

I know its got Fords own oil in it at the mo, and have been told it like cooking oil.

I'll get it changed quick!

I'm pretty sure it's you m8 as I saw this a couple of weeks or so ago and sounded ok although who ever was driving it DIDN'T want to play on a private race strip


change the oil and filter m8 should be fine

Right also going back to an age old subject of WHICH OIL.........

I've got either Mobil 1 15w-50 or oilmans Silkolene pro s 10w-50 in mind, anybody got thier own opinion on whats best??
