Has anyone ever wandered why there mileometers only go up to 99999?

Did ford not expect them to last any longer? LOL All it means is my cars only done 2100 miles! GreaT :P

well mine aint got there yet! 90k mines on now! and the way i drive it i dont expect it to last it either!

 

The only one i know that will display 100k miles, is some of the MK3 Fiesta Speedo's, some had the extra Digit, and some didn't.

 

Mines on 129k and still going strong

mine was on 140k before rebuild, and i didnt rebuild it for the high mileage, just i wanted low comp, when the engine came apart it looked mint!

 

Mines done 146000 (Engine rebuild 20,000 miles ago)

Spotted one on ebay the other day that has done 150000 miles!!

 

mines done 92K with every mot from new

 

my brothers did 160.000 then went bang!!!!!!! then again he drives like a puff

 

I watched the S2 do the 100k mark when my mate had it. It's now on 167k but had a full rebuild 12k ago.

The S1 is also over the 100k mark: currently around 128, but again has had a full rebuild not long ago.

I also think the trip counters should be 4 figures: then it's quicker and easier to work out it's next servicing schedule.

 

Im just over half way there! 55k now!
