Is it just me or are engines becoming more harder to work on, cam shaft etc are now praticvally non existant and you cannot carry out a simple repair but have to spend a lot of money on an apporved dealer.
Has anyone else had this problem and if so have you got any tips!

Cams are piece of piss in modern cars being at the very top of the engine, but thats about the only thing that is.
Thats what I like about cossies tho, VERY easy to work on, manifolds, turbos, etc etc piece of piss to remove

Yeh, my mates got a Escort Cosworth, goes like a bute, and whenever anything needs altering it is easy, however on newer cars such as the new Ford Focus, the engines and transmission are becoming more like computers
