Default MFI 2 EFI

How hard is it to change a old turbo set up (MFI) to EFI ? is it a matter of changing full loom and getting EFI injection unit and getting the sandwich plate for the coversion ??

if so what loom do i need to put in to a mk3 cabby? cos its got an injection loom in now, but its mfi loom.

thanks guys

Best bet if its a mk3 is to use a fiesta turbo engine loom and just extend it to get everything in the desired places. if you untape the mfi loom its fairly simple to separate the engine loom from the loom for lights, fan, horn ect. after you cut the mfi engine loom out you will end up with 4 wires from what i remember, the above website will tell where these need to be connected on the new efi loom.
Hope this helps, Mark

You can use a full efi loom but the ford never made an efi mk 3 so you would have to use a mk4 loom which would need all the plugs changing to connect up to the dashboard ect, could always fit a mk4 dash i suppose but there not as nice as the good old mk3 one

Not sure how you can test them out of the car mate, easiest option would be to try them in a known working car, if you know anybody with a frst go pull it apart and try them out had to do that when converting mine, my mate was not best pleased but it confirmed that all was good.
Good luck
