Don't they have the power to make you have a perternaty test (think that is what it is

Deny all until proven guilty I say. My sisters ex fella pays £500 notes a month out for her kid and one to a previous relationship, he pays this direct, never got the CSA involved, even offered to put it up £50 a monthas he had a pay rise

On top of that he travels from Coventry to Cardiff to see the kid every 2 weeks, and after an nasty split, my sister wouldn't let him have Josh over night so he would have to book into a hotel at night if he wanted to see him for the whole weekend.

That may seem a bit harsh, but it was after we found out that His dad was leaving josh with his 13 year old sister to look after for the night while he went on the piss till sunday afternoon, the sister then paid her mate half of what she got to look after him for her, Josh would come back very quiet and reserved, was not good.

I am glad to say things are better now!!

theres more to consider than your wallet IMHO

if the child is yours would you not want to know ?

ignorance maybe bliss but if it was mine i would want to be apart of its life not just a source of a monthly cheque !

yes but whats the procces

surely that cant make someone have a blood test purely cause some dinny bird names a bloke as father and also has no proof, like i say im not on birth cert

and in answer to above i think that child has a father figure i wouldnt want to go intruding and messing his little life up

Shite thing is mate she only has to make some sob story up and CSA will be behind her 100%,sounds a bit odd though mate as has taken 5yrs to catch up with you as CSA can quite easily locate peeps if needs be,sounds to me like shes just after money mate,if i where you i would get in touch with her and see what her game is.

I was allways under the impression the csa were absolute w@nkers untill recently!
My bro recently split from his mrs they have a little lad together
For the last 4 year he has gave her £90 a week and not involved the csa even though they lived together
4 week ago she booted him he rang the csa straight away and told them what had happened they looked into it and he now pay,s £70 a week instead of £90
Fookin hell she flipped

try to remember not everyone feels like a parent type and its not fair to judge until all the situation is understood, theres women that get rid of babies with out telling the other half about it as they dont want kids

also theres women that "claim" there protected and if ya in a relationship ect then ya have no need to doubt that decide they want a kid and do it anywyay

just cause ya have a kid dont mean the father feels the same as others may

as for the CSA, shes belled em for money, plain and simple as i had my ex do that and i told em to fook off and got half custody ( not fooking easy might i add and means the mums a waste of space ) and i dont pay anything as im entitled to half the child benifit thing that i dont get and so i use that if ever i get a bell

as for your situation it WILL cost YOU for the test !!!!

write a letter or do what i done and ignore it ( not recomended btw, worked for me though)

the birth certificate is a good point but she could say its cause she wasnt sure and either way the government will still chase you as you had the kid,

thats why i do find it unfair as i said as CSA does not allow access and anyone who refuses to allow a kid to stay over for what ever reason is also bollocks and theres no excuse at all !!!!!!

if ya being made to pay for a child then ya should have JUST AS MUCH DESISION MAKING AS THE OTHER PARENT !!!!!!

thats the bit that fucks me off when i see people who get screwed over about it as the father will not feel as close as he should and that fucks the father/child relationship up

my little girl is a angel and loves her dad to bits ( not in a arogant way)

by only being allowed to see her for 8 hours a week or 2 weeks i wont have the same replationship and then wont feel the same bond as i do

after 5 years i cant imagine exactly what ya feel but im sure theres no form of a bond and getting involved will be very very hard, its worth it though in the end if ya into that sort of thing

oh and remember your child in the future will come to find you to ask for reasons about the situation, thats gonna be even harder imo

sorry for the answer that dont help but thought i would type it as a few peeps only mention what they think they would do but may not think that all people are not the same

apples its not proof as such as they can make sure you prove otherwise , if its your child you are expected to pay, they will also back date it BUT if she was o any benifit of any kind then that will go back in to the government unless she had a job then she wil get a portion of it

does make me sick when women have a child and then a life and keep you in the dark and then 5 years later they feel like they want a few more quid and then contact the CSA like calling in a trust account as they got no cash

imo if ya not allowed to have ya kid 50% of the time then ya shouldnt pay as much imo

infact i personally think that all parents should me made to have there child 50% of the time end of story they ya actually deal with the child the way ya ment too and not just pay a portion of ya wages

Been there done that like stu has

The main thing with the CSA is Money no 2 ways about it yet in some small way i agree with them

1. The CSA will pursue incredibly swiftly especially if any benefits are being paid . Ie if shes getting £400 a month in handouts and you get stung for £450 shes gonna see £50 a month

2. Paying the CSA is NOT an access ticket to the child remember the law on this

IF YOUR NOT ON THE BIRTH CERTIFICATE you are not even legally allowed to see the kid you will have to go to court
If you are on the certificate then you still have very few rights as a father especially around access

get your head around this one YOU HAVE NO ACCESS rights to the kid , THE kid has access rights to YOU its a very old often used law

THe csa have powers to ensure yoou undertake a paternity test (DNA mouth swab) if they prove your the father they can make you pay back payments normally to the date the claim was started with the CSA but can be back to DOB

Find out if the child is yours first
Then decide if its in the INTREST of the child to get involved remember their may already be a "daddy" in the life and having a stranger walk in isnt going to help you may be Mummys frieend or uncle for a few years

If all else fails and you dont get to see the child if its yours and you want to most kids will often find their parents later in life as the curiosity of "dad" or "mum" is to stron

oh and heres another funny thing, half custody did not mean i had parental responcabilty and i also had to get another thing that allowed me to take the child to hospital as a guardian if she was unjured as if i never had that i would have to get her mum to do it

and what a waste of 3k , nice when the other half is on benifits as they get free legal aid

Gotta agree there, why only bring it up with the CSA 5 years on? Is the mother struggling now? JUST split up with the fella? Lost her job? Questions ya gotta ask, or else get on that plane to Texas!!

just spoke to my friend who works at the csa

they can order you to take a dna test if the results come back its yours you pay the £500 pound if not then you dont

payment for the child cannot be dated back to dob it can only be claimed from the day you receive your form

and for one child it is 15% of your take home wage

Persoanally in my situation id tell them where to go.

5 years is a long time, you cant just come back into someones life like that and feck it up, its not on.

Shes only after money , and thats blatantly obvious

I know someone in this possition All he did was go up to court and say he did not want anything to do with the child or mother nor did he ever want to come in contact with them again. He never had to pay money.

will not work at all, if shes on benifits then the court wont give a shite mate!!!!, the ruling is ya pay for ya kid, if shes working then its different

this is personal experience as ive got a few mates who have kids and not with the baby mums and thats what happens

only way to avoid it is half custody or have the chlid stay over

i looked into it and spent a shit load of cash doing it !!!!

oh and she has to fill in a claim with CSA, they dont just chase people random either

good luck apples and enay adivce ect then pm me
