I was about to buy an in car boost thingy when a guy i know who used to have an rst says that using incar boost controlers blows your turbo as it needs to pump all the way into the car ?!

Is this ture ?

if used correctly then no probs... people get abit carries away and just up the boost by a few psi, then a few more, then BANG

about 17-18 psi...

i reckon, might be wrong tho...

5th injector would be ideal if wanting to run higher

it prob has a under bonnet bleed valve, just turn that in and teh boost will set down, if it hasnt maybe the pipes come off the actuator or has split a little
i doubt teh actuator had been set up for 20 psi with you having a std cooler and all

putting a incar 1 on as you are will make no odds cos it will just give you a way of letting more air bleed out, it wont stop the air coming out that the under bonnet 1 (or a leak) is releasing

I had a 2 stage boost switch set up but was told it was no good as the fuelling has to be set up carefully on one boost pressure

sam mate...turn the boost down to a sensible level - i.e 14psi if that! the car will feel slowler but it will save your engine....oh and no more top speed runs until the car is properly setup...

to get the car setup either go to Grove garage in romford or somewhere like Karl at NMS in coventry and they will do a decent job regardless

didnt realise it was that turbo, u brought it from a mate of mine in great yarmouth, just saw your pictures in the photo gallery.......

turn the boost down mate, 14 psi and get the fueling checked, its a nice turbo u have there, 20 psi at the current stage will kill it off.
