Default Escort Cosworth not starting

The car will not start.

I have no current to the fuel pump.
There is no spark.
The engine is turning on the starter.

I have checked:
Fuel pump fuse. Working
Fuel pump relay. Working
Fuel cutoff switch. Working

I have run the pump with eksternal current, so the pump is working.

Is it maybe the alarm? The alarm is the original ford thing with a chip that you put in a socket beside the gearstick.

Have checked the multiplugs, sems to be ok. Not corroded.

I have been told that it could be the crank trigger. I read here at the forum that it should be 3.5 ohm. Mine is measuring 680 ohm. Could this be the reason?

I am getting a new trigger later today, gonna try it then.

When mine would not start it was the fuse box.

They are not very good, I took mine out and re-solded as many joints as I could.
(also caused head lamps to work funny)

all sorted now.

FUSEBOX Common problem with variations on faults, Unfortunately not very well constructed and have led to many problems and will get worse with age!! Costly to replace £200+ or try a auto electrical repairers who may be able to repair the copper tracks for you

I have tried to change the fusebox without results.
I have also changed the alarm module. Also with no result.

Have got the complete wirediagram for the escort, so I will check the signal paths from the ecu to the fusebox etc.

I am getting pretty fed up by now...
