Default Carbed/Throttle bodies not running airfilters?

See plenty of people not using airfilters and such just some big fat trumpets out the side of the block, just how bad is it for the engine doing that?

Depends: on a 2-stroke STOOOOOOOPID idea...

on a 4-stroke depends: if you don't use the car or bike in dusty conditions, offroad etc. etc. you'll get away with it. I do

At the moment mine just runs with my fibreglass trumpets (saves weight lol )

But when competing it has a direct fed filtered fiberglass airbox

I use oval the ITG jobbies, its not worth not running them. In fact you have more to loose.

I used to run ITG filter on this mi16 309,only took them off every now and again.

did'nt notice any differance apart from noise was much better

I loved that car,3 bottom ends I went through ,had a nasty habit of taking it to 8000rpm in third now and again anyway got a limiter fitted on the 4th engine

I luuuuuuurve carb's and TB's,must get some more 1 day

wanna have filters really, especially with the summer dust now about..

though ours are currently open, need some monster socks to get over the trumpets.
