Default how much....

how much is a rear wheel bearing kit for an escort rs turbo?

need to get mine done, just one side, to get it through the mot. to save time, i thought i'd pick the kit up before i take it in.

how much are they, from fords or motor factors? seen one on ebay for 8 quid plus postage is this good, or should i go to fords to get one, as i get a 20% discount.

advice please

its for a S2

p.s. anyone know why my reverse lights arent working, bulbs are fine, have a b and m kit, cant find the reverse switch sensor, whats it look like?

The sensor for the reversing lights has probably fallen off (or is gunked in oil so has stopped working). Its mounted on the front of the gearbox just above the cradle/gearbox mount, it’s a small black plug. Giveit all a clean up and it may solve it.

Think wheel bearings are about £20 from Ford

wheel bearing, finnis no. 5007 028, £19.87+vat.

choice of 2 reverse light switches, up to 03/1989 6031 219, £10.47

from 03/1989, 6871 978, £10.26

the reverse light switch is located in the front side of the gearbox, behind the intercooler. you should be able see the wires leading to it.

You'll struggle from above....my bets are it doesn't need replacing just cleaning up

My wheel bearing guess was pretty accurate
