Headgasket gone after couple of weeks!!

Default Headgasket gone after couple of weeks!!

Why would this happen??
Had the head skimmed before being replaced.
Am running 14 psi.
Any help will be much appreciated
Would i need a Cometic headgasket?

i use the standard ford gasket and i run 21-22psi and its fine, it couldnt of been installed properly, ive heard the standard gasket is normally quite good

standard gasket is excellent i was running 24psi and nos on my 1.9cvh i've got a cosmetic cvh turbo gasket still in its packaging if you are interested

What could have made the installation of the gasket faulty??

What make was the gasket that was fitted??

I use an OE gasket at 2 Bar of boost and 300bhp.

head bolts not tighten properly block not cleaned i had a head gasket go after 3 miles but that was due to me buying a cheap gasket £12 from my local motor factors

Also, if the Correct tightening sequence for the Head Bolts wasn't followed, this could have been the problem. Also, were new Head Bolts used? Were the thick washers fitted under the Head Bolts? The list goes on!!

It is a Burton Power Gasket

I torqued the head down to the haynes manual specs.

I used the haynes manual bolt tightening sequence, i also used new head bolts with the washers off the old set.

Thanks for all the help, it's still really baffling tho.

Did you use an Angle Gauge to carry out the 3rd and 4th Tightening stages?? Also, it is a good idea to clean the threads in the block and lightly grease both sides of the washer and the threads with Moly Grease first.
