I know for a fact that there is a 6 Speed version of the T5 and also heard of someone who did the conversion for the 2WD Cossie.

I am wondering if anyone have more information. It is also strange that not many have done this conversion.

I would think that with the price of 2wd Cossie price quite low now more people would be more willing to explore or spend on modifying the cossies.

I know that we can upgrade the rear caliper by getting the AP 4 pots but the issue that has been stopping me. Is the change to a hydraulic hand brake I heard that it would lose pressure after you park for a while.
I have seen a Cossie with a rear upgrade but he retain the cable handbrake anyone knows where I could find a kit to do that ?

 

T56???? american box where the 6th gear is the same ratio as our 5th??

as far im aware there are no advantages to fitting this box.

I know there are ways round this but its illegal and wont pass an mot and i dont like cars that need special MOT's

 

hello mate. i was always told that a t56 6th gear was long than the 5 in the std t5 box. if so you could always get a rack of gears made for it it not impossible as this what i was thinking of doing myself. as for the rear brake what you do is go for a set of ap 4pots plus a spot caliper for the cable. and it will pass the mot. rally design do them and there cheap.
