Hitchicker guide to the Galaxy
yea, seen it. Was looking forward to it, but wasnt overly impressed with it. Some funny bits, but story seemed a bit bland. Didnt know much about it before, but i guess if ur into it, u might like it more.
I don't know what it costs to go to the movies over your way, but I'd rather pay up than watch something with an annoying noise in the background and on a small screen.
It can't be *that* expensive....I think we paid $7/ea (USD) to see it this past saturday.

True it isnt Expensive! but to be honest i cant be arsed to go to the flicks atm
If it was a mega movie then yeah! but only a run of the mill one imo. Plus the noise aint that bad

EscortWRC, true, but some of the ones my housemate gets us are amazing, DVD screeners before they are out in the cinema, and I know for most films i'd rather be at home, infront of the 32" widescreen, feet up on the sofa with a beer fridge next to me rather than driving into town, pay for parking, pay to go in a crowded cinema full of chavs with phones going off and have to sit in the corner getting neck ache, whilst drinking a Ł5 pint of beer after paying Ł7 to see a film
If you are out with a lady or fancy getting out the house then its all good (and some films like Star Wars / Matrix etc have to be seen in a cinema) but for other films it's just a load of hastle that ruins the film!

I saw it at the weekend, and having not read the books, I didn't get it at all, and so didn't enjoy it one little bit. I just made noooooo sense at any point, had no storyline, and wasn't really funny. My advise is, if you haven't read the books, don't bother.
