just took the gear box out my car but cant get the gear stick n the selector plate out.....is there any special way 2 do it??? cos didnt wanna smash the gear nob n everything off 2 drop it down?

 

Underneath the rubber boot under the gear selector is a 13mm bolt which removes the gear selector mate! The cradle is just 2 bolts around the edge of the gearbox and 2 on top.

or you could just remove the clip that holds the selector onto the gear lever...

 

how do u do that mate.......... i've tryed removing a circlip but sill no joy. i've taken of the 13mm nut and taken it out that way but there must be an easyer way 2 take the gearstick out without dropping the box down??????????
