Standard Clutch and Stage 3 on Escort Cos?
Hi,
My clutch is on the way out, is it really not worth putting a standard clutch back in or are they ok for stage 3.
Cheers
Dan

Nope. AP organic at the very least. The standard clutch is a pile of poo now . It used to be more than capable of taking any power that 803s could dish out, and then Ford made the stupid decision of ditching AP Borg & Beck as OE suppliers and switching to Sachs. This clutch is now barely able to take stage 1 power .
If you can find a supplier that still holds old stock of the original Borg & Beck ones, then that would be okay . I was lead to believe (by Popeye) that Burtons still had some of these? Otherwise as stated, it is the AP organic clutch (see my website for prices).
