Hi hope any of you have come across this.
my series 2 when I accelerate or rev car it sounds a bit like an old ohv escort dont hear it when she is idling just when I get on it. Thinking lifters could be wrong though. Does any one have any ideas to shut her up please

 

Camshaft/lifter could be worn?

Hope it's not bottom end.

 

I've replaced the lifters and the noise is still there the cam lobes looked liked they had blackening on the ends. The engine was only rebuilt 1200 miles ago and I run it in slow
