The washer bottle cap on my 4x4 saph is literally disintegrating. It is just crumbling away after 34 years.

I can’t seem to buy a replacement. Anyone know where I can get a reproduction or anyone 3D printing them? I did manage to find one supposedly original one but it was £38! Maybe I’m being stingy but I’m not paying that for a small bit bit of plastic! 😂



I think they were used across mk1&2 fiesta, sierras and mk3&4 escorts.

Will a newer one not fit? Such as a frs one? Any breakers near you as I’d imagine that part wouldn’t be Cosworth specific, one off any sapphire the same age would more than likely be the same part measure the circumference of your one before it disintegrates completely and compare with a newer part, you might find one to suffice

 

Thanks all. Charlie unfortunately although those are the right ones they are permanently out of stock.

The fiesta ones shown are too big. The Sierra ones are much smaller than pretty much anything else at around 32mm diameter.

I've been after one for ages now, I did manage to get a auto specialist chrome one but miss placed it.

Yes, I’ve only seen the chrome ones as well. I want to keep mine looking standard so the search continues. I’ll let you know if I find a supplier.

 

Could you not get the chrome one powder coated yellow.
It still wouldn’t be OEM but might be ok..

Have you measured it as there seems to be quite a few on various sites for sale. even if you find one the correct size but a different colour you can paint it Yellow?
