Possibly Happy Soon,
went to Sitech yesterday, spoke to one of his staff, who listened, advised happily, then said just speak to him.
Spoke the the main Man (at my length, ignoring his busy timescale).
Car goes in 5th Feb. for a rolling road tune, wheel alignment and
a suspension set up on the 32 point dampers that are Rocket Science to me . 16PSI should be ok. dae fur me. Did explain the Mods.

Just back from Sitech. Cannot thank my namesake enough. Showed me and explained everything he was doing.
150 Odd brake on 9PSI, 196 at 19PSI.
Cheers Simon, was a scary drive home on low boost. Need a few runs to get used to it again
before trying high boost

Well two weeks later, bane of my existence decides to play up. Starts no problem and seems to drive okish but just goes straight to about 950 revs
and stays there. Given way back it went to circa 1600 then dropped to 950 when the AAV closed, not convinced all is well.
Checked the AAV before I installed but had to rewire it to the fuel pump relay years ago to get voltage.
Checked voltage and it's fine, installed one of the many AAV's I have as spares that checked fine.
One that came out checks fine. Just for the Hell of it installed a spare fuel black box and still the same.
Wondering if it could be anything to do with the 5th cold start injector but don't know.
Had a very good offer for the thing but don't want to pass my problems to someone else so be nice to be confident
it's all functioning correctly and be glad to see the back of it. Can't see why the AAV would be staying open when it tests OK
and is getting over 12v's but that being the case, I assume it's eating petrol and given the fuel gauges are about as much
use as a Chocolate Teapot, who knows!

AAV starts wide open and has a thermo element inside of it - so even if no voltage or heat was applied then it should be as open as it can be from cold start.

Once you apply voltage or heat, then it will start to close up therefore reducing rpm.

So either your AAV is gunked up and closed up far too much from the off, or your idle issues aren't being caused by that
