Hello! I am Sergio from Spain, I have a 1992 Ford Sierra DOHC engine to which I am adapting the volumetric compressor from a 2004 Mercedes SLK (Eaton m45)
I have already placed the compressor in the car, to place it I have placed the alternator where the steering pump originally goes and I have replaced the steering pump with an electrohydraulic pump from Opel Zafira A. Now I "only" need all the pipes for admission.
I have thought about doing the same as they did with the Turbo Technics kit, putting a 5th injector and delaying the ignition by connecting to ground the two pins of the octane adjuster (found next to the ignition coil), controlling both the extra injector and the ignition delay with an additional map sensor connected to an Arduino, that is, when it blows at more than 0.2bar, delay the ignition and activate the extra injector.
The problem is that when I connect the octane adjuster pins to ground I don't notice anything, I have checked with a strobe lamp and nothing, I don't notice any ignition delay.
Does anyone know what I could be doing wrong? Thank you very much in advance, greetings!
I attach some photos of my project and what it says in the Hayness manual about it.
